Rainbows N’ Clouds provides educational childcare to communities in the capital district, more directly to Albany County and Schenectady County with an added component of a prayer at mealtimes and the children are read Christian values stories on the level that a child between 3 and 11 can understand and/or think about. Even though Rainbows N’ Clouds has these values lessons daily, Rainbows is not affiliated or sponsored by any specific church. The Owner/Director is Christian and wants the children to know about God. Rainbows N’ Clouds provides educational themes in a fun manner for children aged 3 years through 12 years. The 3s and 4s get ready for elementary school with age appropriate math, social studies, science, language arts and movement. Rainbows N’ Clouds offers options to accommodate to the best of their ability the schedules of busy families. There is all year full time care (5 days), all year part time care (min. 3 days), summer only school age, afterschool/before school and if you ask they might be able to assist your family’s need. The Director has added an Ask the Director evening once a month to discuss a topic and then answer pressing questions (if any) about Rainbows N’ Clouds policies. We are generally open when the elementary schools are closed.

This all started in Sept 1986.

Our play yard is enclosed and includes climbing equipment, a grassy area, plenty of blacktop for riding toys, and playground balls. We provided nutritious AM/PM snacks and lunch and have in the past received a Healthy NY Certificate because of our commitment to the health and well being of the children in our care.
